What’s this project all about?

Reading Landscapes is a fleet of Microplastic Recycling Bins placed strategically in the Greater Buffalo area to help curb the impact of plastic pollution. They will be outside from June to September this Summer, 2023. You can participate in this project by collecting small plastics from home or outside. The Microplastic Recycling Bins provide education resources to learn more about microplastic’s lasting impact. It promotes a kinesthetic approach to learning that builds stewardship of the land.

What are Microplastic Recycling Bins?

We redesigned retired newspaper recycling bins into microplastic collection dispensors. It has a 12”x1” slot to drop plastic into the container. We accept micro and meso plastics. The smaller the better! This will keep them from breaking up into nanoparticles.
